Olivia turns 4

Here are some pictures from Olivia's 4th birthday party. She was surrounded by family and friends and we all had a really good time! This was Olivia's extra cake (we always have to have two since our family is so big!)

She wanted a Hello Kitty cake -- I learned to decorate the cakes from my Mom & have made all the kids' birthday cakes. This is Olivia & her friend Nadia. Nadia is her first real friend that she made on her own.

Christmas 2006

Here are some Christmas pictures from this past season. I don't have all that I'd like (I'm still waiting for some to get emailed to me) but here are a few for you to look at :) My little family Aren't they cute when they're being nice to each other?

The kids got a surprise visit at our neighbor, the Crists, house from Santa! All the neighborhood kids got pictures taken with Santa.

Grandma Cathy made each grandchild their own personalized pillow & Grandpa Carl made each grandchild their own personalized coat rack. Olivia had a swimming pool on her pillow. First Day of School 2006

These are pictures from the first day of school this year. The kids are doing great. Seth is really loving kindergarten & Olivia is loving preschool. This is Seth's first day of kindergarten. Olivia didn't start preschool until a couple of weeks later but she wanted to take her backpack with us in the van to drop Seth off. My handsome boy! Sitting at his table on the first day of school. Olivia's haircut

Olivia got a major haircut recently. On Oct. 11 I decided that her hair was just too baby-fine & that we needed to cut it to get it to thicken up. She was pretty happy about getting her hair cut short since she hated having me play with it or put pretties in it anyway. So we cut her hair that was a few inches past her shoulders - all that she had grown in 3 1/2 years! - into a cute bob right at her chin. She loves her new hair cut & we've discovered that she has some of her Daddy's natural wave in the back (which is much thicker now!). The front is still a little stringy as she just hasn't had as much grow in front as she did in back. Anyway - here's our beautiful, older looking girl! She got a sucker for doing such a great job sitting still (& picked one out for big brother too!)

Fall Kindergarten Portrait

Seth's school picture this year. He's enjoying kindergarten more and more every day. He wasn't too sure at first (who wants to go every day, all day???) but he's now beginning to realize that P.E., lunch and recess aren't so bad :) He's also making lots of friends - it's so fun to listen to him tell stories about his day!

Swimming 06

Here are some pix from swimming this summer...I didn't have nearly as many as I thought -- that's not good since it's too cold to go swimming any more this year! Olivia had a good time being silly on GranDad's shoulders. Seth loved the big inflatable slide that my parents got this year. He'd stand at the top & just jump off and then bounce all the way down to the water.

Making Cookies

Seth and Olivia got to spend the night at Uncle Josh & Aunt Jenny's house on June 22. They had a great time making these cookies and decorating them with lots of fun stuff. Uncle Josh got to play video games and watch boy movies with Seth while Aunt Jenny took Olivia to play with her kitty, color and play games. They really enjoyed getting to spend the time with their Aunt & Uncle!
