On Olivia's birthday (Jan. 31) we took the kids to Build-A-Bear workshop in Wichita so that they could create their own teddybears. It was the first time we had been in the store and we all had a lot of fun! The kids got to choose which bear they wanted, chose a sound to put in it, watched it get stuffed, put in a heart, watched it get sewn together, gave it an air bath, and then picked out outfits for their new friends. Olivia chose a fuzzy purple bear with a "happy birthday bear" song for her sound and got fairy and cheerleader outfits for her bear "Angelina". Seth chose a black bear with a growl for his sound and found spiderman and batman outfits for his bear "Peter Parker". I'm pretty sure that my mom & I had more fun picking out clothes than Brian but he did find the costumes before Seth did so I think he had more fun than he let on! We'll definately go back to add to the bears' wardrobes.

The kids had to give their bears hearts' kisses and rubbed them with their hands to get them warm before they went into the bear.
They also put the heart on their muscles so the bear would be strong and made a wish on it.
